"I just want to lick his face"

I heard something really great today.

While talking to a friend of mine about a love she once had (that unfortunately passed away) she said, "I just wanted to lick his face." I think that is such a great way to express how much you love someone. PERFECT!! She said she loved to watch him move, the way he ate, the way he moved his hands. She could watch him do just about anything and enjoy herself. I love that she had the opportunity to love him so deeply. It's refreshing to hear love stories (Come to think of it I never hear love stories). Although he is no longer on this earth I know he is here in spirit watching her every move and enjoying it more than she will ever know. I am happy that she has those memories and that she doesn't mind sharing them with me.

Jason- I want to lick your face.

Let the wedding festivities begin

This weekend Jason's sisters, Lela and Kasey along with his parents Darrell and Lynn had a wonderful wedding shower for us. His parents live in a beautiful home on the water so the setting was perfect. There was lots of good food, candy and yummy wedding cake made just for us by Kasey. They put a tons of love and work into our wedding shower and we appreciate them all so much.

My heart is full of love

It's scary to close your eyes and leap. To have so much faith in yourself, your partner and love that you will promise to commit your heart and soul to foreverness. It is so romantic to think that you will grow old with your lover and be forever happy. Jason and I are getting married in 17 days and the thought that we would ever grow apart or dishonor each other is something I cant imagine. I want to be optimistic, I want to believe that we will not fall into the 50% of Americans that get divorced. I want to believe that together, with strong hearts and determination we will grow old together. I want to believe I will have the strength to love him forever. I want to believe he will love me more tomorrow then he does today. I know life throws things at you you never saw coming, I know stagnant behavior destroys relationships, I know being afraid of the truth makes you stay in situations you never thought in a million years you would be in, I know your ego tries to control your heart, I know about good and I know about evil. I just hope I will always keep a clear head and an optimistic heart and remember when times are tough how I feel today. I hope that temptation, fear, laziness and loneliness steers clear of our love and joy, truth, respect and true happiness bless us forever. I know wishing for all of these things wont make them happen and that work, good old fashion hard work will. My heart is full of love and I pray that it always will be.

Rookie of the year

Meet JB "Daddy". He had a fun year of racing around in his cool race car and is now ROOKIE OF THE YEAR. I hope to be as daring and fun spirited as JB when I grow up. Good job Daddy.

Jeweled Spider

Today while looking out our bedroom window I noticed a HUGE beautifully spun spider web. I could see a spider resting in the middle of the web and just had to go outside to investigate. Jason and I went out and discovered the most amazing little yellow spider we have ever seen. After searching the web I found it is a Jeweled Spider and "she" is not venomous. Not sure how long she has been living in the backyard but I hope she stays.

What did you do Saturday night???

Saturday night while sitting around the house Jason looked at my nails (painted gold from last weekends support of the Saints football team) and said, "Do you want me to paint fluer de lis on your nails?"

If your honey offers to paint anything on your nails how in the world can you turn him down????

YOU CAN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I put a fresh coat of gold paint on my nails and he went to the garage to get his model car paint and brushes.
He painted little, tiny, bitty, fluer de lis on all my nails.

WE LAUGHED THE ENTIRE TIME!!!

Happy to be hacked

Little Mrs. Holt you are too cute. Thank you for hacking into my blog and writing such sweet things. Love the pictures and lovely words about our friend "Stinky Feet". You made my morning. Thank you for the HACK!!! I love and miss you too.

I have been hacked...

So I was trying to get on my blog tonight when I realized I am logged into my friends blog.... Huh I am thinking do I get out of it, do I write something stupid or funny, do I talk highly of myself and then her friends think I am Perfect..... but then I just think no I need everyone to know how much I love her and adore her..... I used to work with her starting about 4 1/2 years ago. Then I was a pain in her ASS but of course she one in mine:) As it got closer to when we would go our separate ways I started to think the world of her. She became my best friend. We would eat fattening foods on lunch brake every day and we would laugh at a stinky feet whore. Then we went our separate ways but only a few miles apart so we could meet up talk and eat fattening foods for old time sake.

But there came a day that she said she had to leave and we would have a long distance relationship. OHHH I was so hurt because it was for a man. Now don't get me wrong I really like this man but he did steal my friend from me. It was very hurtful:) So she packed her things and she left me for this man :( But lucky for me we have been able to keep this long distance relationship going.... thank goodness because odd are not in our favor.

And yes, That god awful smell of stinky feet is coming from the women on the far right .... I am so sorry you have to plug your nose!!

I Love you Jenny! I miss you so much!

A LOUISIANA BLESSING

Bless this house, oh Lord, we cry.
Please keep it cool in mid-July.
Bless the walls where termites dine,
While ants and roaches march in time.
Bless our yard where spiders pass
Fire ant castles in the grass.
Bless the garage, a home to please
Carpenter beetles, ticks and fleas.
Bless the love bugs, two by two,
The gnats and mosquitoes that feed on you.
Millions of creatures that fly or crawl,
In Louisiana, Lord, you've put them all!!
But this is home, and here we'll stay,
So thank you Lord, for insect spray.

JOY!!! Not REALLY!!!

Me holding my button that supplied morphine

Last Friday I had emergency surgery to remove my right fallopian tube. I was treated with Methotrexate twice this last month to dissolve the pregnancy and those two shots didn't do their job!! Last Thursday I was at work and started to feel sick and had terrible stomach pains along with some other very unwelcoming symptoms!! I left work immediately knowing something was not right. My drive home was about 30 minutes. I made it about 10 minutes into the trip home before pulling over on the side of the freeway crying in horrible pain. I called my sweetie in tears asking him to please pick me up ASAP. In the mean time I called my Jenny asking her to talk to me while I was waiting, knowing she wouldn't panic and would have some advice for me (thanks Jenny). Jason picked me up and I cried in pain all the way home. I called the doctor and she asked me to come in the next day at 11am and if things got worse I needed to head to the ER. With help from my sister Lela I made it until the next day (thanks sister). I went to my 11am appointment. The doctor said I should not be feeling this kind of pain and the best thing to do would be to remove the troubled tube. Scared and tears flowing I agreed. By 2pm my little Lela was sitting at the hospital with me while I was being checked in for surgery. Jason arrived, relieved Lela of her shift and I was off to surgery. Everything went smoothly thanks to a good doctor and lots morphine. I was in the hospital for two day only because she had to cut me open (I MEAN ALL THE WAY OPEN) instead of the laparoscopic surgery she had hoped to do.
I had a wonderful nurse. Her name was Brenda and I loved her!! Also I met the sweetest lady in the world while working my temp job. She stopped by the hospital to bring me fresh cut fruit, give me a hug and kiss and wish me well. I cried when she showed up because I thought it was so sweet!!!!!!
Today is the first time in over a week I put on make-up and did my hair. My stomach is HUGE!! I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sore!!!! I look 9 months pregnant from the swelling. I am feeling much better.
This has been a scary experience and very sad!!!!!!!!!!!! Jason is the very best caretaker in the world. You name it he has done it for me. I feel so blessed to have such a thoughtful man!! I really hope to some how, some way have babies with Jason. I am down to one tube and hope to have that tube tested for workability in the next couple weeks.
Thanks to everyone who has wished me well and supported me through this hard time. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One Year

It's crazy to think I moved to Louisiana one year ago. So much has happened in just a year. I got engaged, evacuate for a hurricane, adopted a doggie, I was a substitute teacher for the most amazing kids on this earth, my brother came to visit, Jason's Mom and brother Mike came to visit, I have been back to Utah twice, Jenny Holt had a baby, I got chiggers, had a ectopic pregnancy and to top off the one year anniversary had emergency surgery to remove my right fallopian tube one year to the day that I arrived in Louisiana!! I really know how to make myself at home.

LOVE

I must say I have the most thoughtful man!!!!

Nothing says LOVE like a pink sugar cookie with a sweet little green heart.

Thanks for treating me so good and taking such great care of me.

I love you.

Babies??????

I woke up a couple weeks ago not feeling so hot and thought, "Oh, um, gee...aaaaa...could I be.... no.... well..... maybe....". Take a pregnancy test Sunday May 31st and it's negative. So I move on with my week and by Wednesday I am not feeling any better so I take another test and it's positive!! Not believing my eyes I call Jason in to study the test and he says, "That's a line". I run to the store and buy three more tests. The next morning take one at 4am, positive!!! Knowing my history of tubal pregnancies I am not jumping for joy but pretty excited. Jason is beyond excited (very sweet). Head to the doctor Thursday for tests and blood work, dates are a little off but all seems to be well. My doctor is Heaven sent and very detailed in all her work. She asked me to take another blood test Monday May 8th and she will call me first thing Tuesday. Monday night around 9:30pm I start spotting. "NO!! Ahhhh well this is it!! Again with the problems". Sad and stressed out I go to bed. I wake up the next morning and call the doctors office to explain my problem to hear them say, "Your numbers are going up like the should all seems well, come in at 4pm for an ultrasound." My heart was telling me one thing while my head was telling me another. Jason and I arrive 4pm sharp for the ultrasound. The ultrasound tech searched my uterus high and low, NOTHING!! "Your numbers show you are at least five weeks I should be able to see something in the uterus at 4 weeks." My heart sinks. She looks and looks and seems to find the "little guy" in the wrong place, snuggled in and growing rapidly in my fallopian tube!! "Wrong spot little buddy". The doctor asked me to return the following afternoon for a shot of Methotrexate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So needless to say last week was a sad week. Jason has been a super star and has been more of a support than I could have ever asked for and then some!!!! I love that guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am feeling a lot better both physically and mentally but I can't help but wonder, "Will I ever have babies??????????????????????????"

BUGS REVISED

I feel in my "Bugs" post I left out a very important detail. Our house is clean and beautiful. Jason has created a lovely home for us and I love our house!! The bugs love all people, all homes, all walks of life. $10,000 dollar home, million dollar home, clean or dirty. It's much different than Utah, people here are use to the bugs. I don't want to seem snobby or ungrateful. I love my house and Louisiana, bugs and all!!!!!!!!!!!

BUGS

I am grossed out. I can't believe it took me this long to reach my breaking point but I have finally reached it, I HATE BUGS!!! Louisiana is a petri dish and grows the biggest bugs. It's never just one bug, it's millions. They travel together to make the biggest impact. Since I have been here (just under a year) I have witnessed roaches the size of rats, Jason had a tick using his leg for survival, we have had maggots, Bandit had worms, biting flies and nat's, ant's that leave HUGE zits on you when they bite, mosquito bites that leave golf ball sized bumps that bruise (yes bruise), I have had chiggers (WTF), weevils. You name it, we have had it in our house!!!!! The latest......... FLEES!!! The dogs don't have flees, the house has flees!!!!!!!! Our little two pound roommate Chico has had flees on and off for awhile now and no matter how much flee medicine or shampoo his dad uses they just wont go away. They are making their way out of Chico's room and body and into my house. Today while taking off my nail polish and tossing the cotton ball into the toilet a flee hucked itself off of me and into the toilet!!!!!!!!!! That's it!! I have had it!!! No more bugs!!! I am from Utah, we don't have bugs!! Who knew you could stop by your local Wal-mart and pick-up something to sooth the painful itch of a Chigger bite????????? Who gets Chiggers......... oh I don't know, just little Jenny here!! Please send Deep Woods Off and Raid ASAP!!!!!!! Oh yes add a mosquito bed net to your carepack!!!!!

If it wasn't for Mikey I would have never met Jason so I hold a special spot in my heart for that CRAZY kid!!! It was great to see everyone.

Are you Chinese??

I have been a substitute teacher for about two months. A couple weeks ago a little 6 year old girl asked me the funniest question.

Me: Hi, how are you? (smiling a huge smile)

6 year old: Are you Chinese?

Me: No. (OH NO what is going on in her little head)

6 year old: You look Chinese. When you smile your cheeks push your eyes closed.

Me: Oh OK.

Lets all send my "fur" brother Antoine our love

I have two brothers. One is Demetrius and the other is Antoine, my fur brother. Demetrius and his girlfriend Maria will be here for Mardi Gras in 16 days!!!!!! As for my fur brother well he is getting older and has had a ruff last couple months. First he was dropped off to be groomed at his local vets office and when my mom picked him up the vet took it upon himself to give Antoine a little surgery (LONG STORY), his eye sight isn't so good, he is a bit overweight and is on a special home cooked diet (baked chicken and peaches) and this past week he has gone deaf!! Pour little guy had an ear infection and his ear drops caused him to go deaf (one of the many side effects). Needless to say my mother is coming undone. Antoine is her favorite child and the cutest. So when all you good little boys and girls are saying your prays at night add Antoine to your list.

And the date is..........

Aint nothn' a power tool can't fix

Jason smashed his finger at work yesterday. His finger is now bloody and bruised under the nail. Well to relieve pressure and I guess to make it feel better he wandered to the garage last night, busted out the drill and began to drill a HOLE in his finger nail. I walked in the garage during this very safe and sterile process and ran back into the house to grab the camera. I had to get a picture of this moment. Priceless!!! I love my manly man!!!

Will you marry me???

Yesterday was the best day of my life. My sweetie asked me to marry him!!! YES!!!!!! YES!!!!!! YES!!!!!! I would love nothing more!!!!!! Here is the story. Please know I could never tell the story with as much detail and romance as it had but I will do my best. I have wanted to go to Emerils restaurant in New Orleans for awhile. Friday Jason called me and said, "We have reservations for dinner at Emerils, 6:30. We haven't gone out in awhile and I thought dinner would be fun. Dress to kill." Perfect sounds good to me. Saturday 5:45pm we leave the house. No clue what the future holds!! We have a great dinner, chocolate souffle and all. During dinner he tells me, "I have a surprise. At 8:30pm we have an appointment." I was shocked. A surprise for me???? An appointment?? WOW!! What, what, what?? Tell me more?? At 8:30 a horse and carriage pick us up in front of the restaurant. Still not clue!! I am just thinking, "Oh this is awesome, a carriage ride around the French Quarter. What a sweet romantic evening." We get in our little carriage. While getting in and getting cozy the driver asks if we are celebrating something special?? We both say, "no, this is just for fun". Still no clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then...... it....... happens.........!!!!! Jason says to me, "Yes we are celebrating something special, our engagement. WILL YOU MARRY ME???????" I was so surprised!! I was thinking this is to good to be true!!! I couldn't believe it!!! I had NO CLUE!!! NONE!! I remember kissing him over and over and saying, "You are going to marry me???" At some point I said, YES!!!!!!!!!!! The ring is PERFECT!! He picked it out all by himself. I LOVE IT!! The carriage ride was perfect. It was beautiful. The French Quarter was charmingly decorated for Christmas. It was a wonderful way to spend the moments after the "YES". Everything was perfect. So very sweet and thoughtful!! I am one lucky girl!!!!!!!!! We are thinking October 2009. Louisiana is beautiful that time of year. Soooooooooo LETS PLAN A WEDDING Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw a picture on the news of snow topped roofs in the French Quarter, Awesome!! It rained all night and started snowing around 7am. Schools, government offices, bridges, you name it they are closed. It has been breaking news all morning long. The dogs are having fun playing in the snow. FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!

c jane

I wanted to tell everyone about the c jane blog. I was introduced to this blog by my dearest friend Jen and her lovely aunt. The c jane blog reads like a novel. I have spent the past two days reading her blog. It's beautiful, funny, horribly sad and overwhelmingly inspiring. The bloggers sister was severely burned over 80% of her body in a tragic plane crash along with her husband. The story of their fight for life is amazing. So if you are looking for a heart warming story read c jane.

Bless Her Crafty Heart

My sweet and crafty mother made her Louisiana children (me and Jason) the most amazing Christmas gifts. This woman could recreate the entire "Wizard of Oz" movie set and costumes in a weekend, all from scraps of yarn, floral wire, sparkly Christmas ornaments and endless hot glue sticks she has laying around the house. Martha Stewart herself could learn a thing or two about decorating from my mother. Growing up, myself and my dolls where always the best dressed. She could bust out an entire Cabbage Patch Doll wardrobe in one evening. She is the only person I know that can make a baby blanket start to finish before the five-o-clock news is over, wrap it as if the package were being photographed for "Better Homes and Gardens" and have it in the car for immediate delivery by 6pm. She is beyond crafty!! So mom thank you for the blankets, new and old, keeping us warm and cozy. Thank you for the beautiful Ragidy Anne and Andy dolls and the baby blankets made from vintage mexican fabric. We will try and get you a baby to put in those blankets. THANKS MOM!! Merry Christmas!!

This picture is to prove my point!!

New Family Member

Today we brought home a new family member, Bandit. He is a 4 month old pound puppy. He is as sweet as can be and very friendly. Gizmo and Bandit are already the best of friends. Bandit (formally known as Peanut) was fixed yesterday so he isn't able to run and play like he would like but is getting around just fine. He seems to be part doggie part raccoon/fox. We thought his little black mask made him look like a Bandit. Thanks to Elizabeth and Ellen for rescuing this sweet little baby. Ellen has a rescue in Mississippi and is an absolute angel. Thanks girls!! Oh, oh, oh he peed in my car on the way home!!!

Hurricane Gustav

Hurricane Gustav pushed us out of our home but little does that "asshole" know he created great memories. Saturday August 3oth Hurricane Gustav is sitting in the Gulf knocking on the door of New Orleans. We decided better to be safe than sorry and leave. Katrina flooded this home in 2005 and the Mayor of New Orleans seemed to think the same was about to happen. Lela my "sister-in-law" made arrangements to flee to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. We decided to follow. Jason booked us a charming little cabin in the Smokey Mountains. We start our evacuation at 3:40am Sunday September 1st. Packed our items, Marshall (roommate/"brother-in-law") and I moved our cars to higher ground. The three of us, me, Jason and Marshall plus two dogs are on the road by 5am. We start what should be a 9 hour trip. Contraflow turns out to be the biggest joke in the world and slows us down. Contraflow is something that was set up to help people evacuate and help traffic run smoothly. Unfortunately Contraflow did the opposite. It took us 19 hours to get to Tennessee. I can't talk about Contraflow without getting high blood pressure so lets move on. We arrived in Tennessee safe and sound. Those 19 hours brought us to the most beautiful place on the earth. It was just what we needed after a ridiculous drive and all the stress of wondering if our home, friends and family would be safe upon our return. If you ever in your life get a chance to travel to Tennessee DO IT!!! You wont be sorry. The second night we were there I had a couple drinks by the camp fire and fell asleep outside on a bench swing. So relaxing. Nothing like sleeping outside in the mountains. It was amazing. I am a fan of Tennessee. Jason being the smart man that he is brought his Harley and we were able to take a ride around the Smokey Mountains. So I would like to thank Gustav for being such a dick. He created priceless memories. Our home, family and friends are all fine. Gustav did turn things upside down but it's nothing Louisiana can't handle. Thanks Gustav.

How it all started

Lets see where shall we start. I met Jason when I was 17 years old. My cousin Marcy and his older brother Mike were dating and they thought it would be a good idea if Jason and I met (thanks guys). The details are a bit foggy because this was 15 years ago but I do remember being attracted to Jason from the second I met him. He has the most amazing blue eyes you have ever seen and a smile to die for. We were wild kids. Bad, bad, bad. No rules, no respect but we had fun!!! A bit after we met Jason and a couple of his friends rented a two bedroom apartment about 700 sf. About 15 people called this place home and from time to time I would also rest my head there. Jason had his own room and we would share his little twin bed. Like I said we were bad kids. So it all started from there. We dated on and off for years. Bless his heart he was always there for me when I wandered back. At some point Jason moved back to Louisiana from Salt Lake City. He is from Louisiana but his parents divorced when he was a kid and he went to Utah with his mom. If his parents would have worked out their marriage I would have never met Jason so thank goodness for divorce. In 1998 I found my way to Louisiana to be with Jason. We lived in a little white trailer in Lacombe Louisiana. Lacombe is in the country!! Rent was $300.00 a month and let me tell you what that was a rip off!! The a/c never worked, we always had bugs in our house. We had two black labs Albert and Mini. It was a crazy, crazy time. I got very, very home sick so we packed up and moved back to Salt Lake. I made it in Louisiana just under a year. Jason and I broke-up May of 1999 and he moved back to Louisiana. From May of 1999 to April of 2008 we hadn't spoken a word to one another. Over the years I always wondered about him. Sometimes I would lay in bed and think about him, wonder does he have kids, is he married. Starting in 2007 he would cross my mind more and more and the thoughts would take over. I wasn't sure what to do. How do you call someone out of the blue and say remember me?? I was a complete jerk to Jason when we broke-up so the thought of rejection was very real. Plus what if he was married. Well being the selfish little brat that I am I found him and called him in April 2008. WOW!!!!!!!! It was sooooooo great to talk to him. He was just as sweet to me as he had always been. We talk for hours and hours. And guess what he was not married and no kids. My heart dropped!! If there was ever a chance to make this work now was the time. We have always had a great connection. We talked as if we hadn't missed a beat. We talk on the phone everyday for weeks and I decided to visit him in Louisiana May 22, 2008. I have never had more fun being with someone in my life. While I was here we talked about me moving here. I was so sad to leave wondering if I was ever going to see him again. The second I was on the plane and he was out of my sight I knew I could not live without him. The great news is he felt the same way. After much stress and planning he arrived in Salt Lake City to pick me up June 21st. So here I am in good old Louisiana. We live in Jason's cute little house in Slidell. We have a little dog named Gizmo. It's great here. I can't imaging my life without him. After all these years our connection is stronger than ever. I can't wait to have Jason's blue-eyed babies.
